Providing Exciting Professional Development Opportunities

FRSS is happy to provide funding for our teachers, who attend various teacher training courses. The courses help to freshen the teachers’ skills and creativity, which in turn, foster the students’ development and engagement. For the past few years, we’ve offered all members of the faculty a modest stipend to use towards professional development. This past year, we launched a larger grant program, which provides a higher level of funding to one teacher per year. The first recipient of our larger grant was Miss Mallory, who traveled to New Mexico, in June 2025, to attend a week long training Wee Musicians program. She’s brought back exciting new ideas for her classroom and is sharing what she’s learned with the rest of the RSS faculty.
